Everyday I am asked the question about fluoride: do we or don’t we use it to prevent tooth decay? It is a question that is of particular concern for parents with small children who are concerned about the safety of fluoride and their children’s health. There is much that has been written about the health benefits of fluoride in reducing.
The Australian Dental Association recommends that your child attend their first dental visit and check up at 12 months of age. By this age the eruption of your child’s first teeth has occurred. During your child’s first visit to Dent8 Dental we will assess the alignment of your child’s teeth and jaws, examine the teeth for any signs of dental.
Here are a few practical ideas to prepare your child for a visit to the dentist and to go as smoothly as possible. Practice ‘playing’ dentist at home. Let your child lay on your lap at home on the couch and practice opening wide. Then count their teeth. Your children will LOVE checking your teeth, especially if they see you.
